By kind permission of Lt Cdr Trelawny, Executive Officer of HMS President, we are holding our annual Christmas Party in HMS President’s Wardroom.

As many of you will know HMS President has enjoyed a very busy year taking a prime role in the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Pageant in June and acting as a base for 539 Assault Squadron throughout the Olympics and Paralympic Games. This is your chance to see some of the memorabilia from this exciting Summer and celebrate the end of the successful year with friends from the Yacht Club, many of whom have a connection with HMS President.

A light finger buffet will be served with red and white wines. The rig will be lounge suit or blazer and Club tie or lady’s equivalent. Serving members of the RNR may choose to wear No. 1 uniform, negative medals.

The cost is £26 per person.

This last social event of the year is a good opportunity for members and guests to enjoy meeting in an informal atmosphere, to reminisce about our activities during the year and to discuss plans for next year. There will be no restriction on numbers, and members are encouraged to invite their families and friends to join us. Also, those new members for whom this will be their “first informal event” should find the evening an excellent opportunity to meet the Flag Officers, Committee members and fellow members.

The party will end at around 21:00

72 St Katharine’s Way

The nearest underground station is Tower Hill (District & Circle Lines), which is a 15 minute walk away.  Head down St Katharine's Way from Minories / Tower Bridge Road.

There are often (but not always) taxis waiting outside the hotels next to Tower Hill station.

The Wardroom is at street level so accessibility is good.

The rig is "Club Rig" (blazers & tie).

Next Steps
Bookings should be made using the Register button, as soon as possible and by 5th December at the latest in order to facilitate catering and logistics.

Notes on How to Book
Would all members register themselves individually. Only non-members should be recorded as guests. If another member is paying for you, they should note that when they send the cheque.

If you want to add more guests but you have already made a booking, then make a new booking for yourself, choose No for booking place at the party for yourself (i.e. you are creating a "blank" booking for yourself) and then add your guests in the usual way.

Please do not add guests by typing their name instead of your name.

Please don't type names in lowercase, use Title Case as you would expect them to be. The reason: they are used in various lists that are distributed.

Lastly, complete the registration by pressing the "Confirm and Proceed With Payment" button. This will cause an email to be sent. If you don't receive the email, then your registration hasn't been made.

Then send your cheque (payable to RNVR Yacht Club) to the event organiser, Catherine Fearon, at 30 Church Street, Yaxley, Peterborough, PE7 3LH as soon as possible.
