Our Annual Dinner this year takes us on a first visit to “The Rag”: The Army & Navy Club.

Our Admiral, HRH Prince Michael of Kent GCVO, intends to be present. Our principal Guest of Honour is Rear-Admiral Christopher Parry CBE.


Programme
Drinks reception: 1900.  Dinner: 1930.  Bar closes: 2359.

The evening will start with a sparkling wine reception and this will be followed by dinner comprising:


Smoked Salmon Roulade
with Celeriac, Coriander & Cress

with Purple Sprouting Broccoli and Pomme Purée

Classic Crème Brûlée
with Tuile Biscuits

Coffee & Petits Fours

Dinner will be accompanied by fine red and white wines and followed by port. A cash bar will operate after dinner, up to 2359.

Dinner will be followed by speeches by our guests and the annual presentation of Club awards.

Rig
Dress for the evening will be Mess Undress uniform or Black Tie, in either case with neck decorations and miniatures.

Accommodation
A strictly limited number of bedrooms at The Army & Navy Club has kindly been allocated to us on favourable terms, and should be booked early through our Hon Secretary Nic Block (nicholas@nblock.me.uk or 01963 362068).
First come, first served.

Cost 
The cost of the Dinner will be £65.00 per person attending. As the dining room will accommodate up to 120 diners, we are again in the happy position that there will be no practical limit on the number of guests that members may bring to this prestigious event. But please book early as it is ‘first come, first served’. Should the limit be reached a waiting list will be established.

Directions and Travel
The The Army & Navy Club is located in the South West corner of St James's Square.   A Google map is available on the Contact Us page of its website. 

The nearest underground stations are Piccadilly Circus and Green Park and Charing Cross, at a push.

Accessibility
The dining room is on the first floor and is accessible by lift.

Next Steps
Bookings should be made using the Register button, as soon as possible and by Friday 2nd November 2012 at the latest.
  • Register yourself and any other members or guests in your party

  • Ensure you complete the title, name and decorations section for each of you 

  • Use the Notes box to record any special dietary and other requirements
Notes on How to Book
Would all members register themselves individually.  Only non-members should be recorded as guests.  If another member is paying for you, they should note that when they send the cheque.

If you want to add more guests but you have already made a booking, then make a new booking for yourself, choose No for any meal for yourself (i.e. you are creating a "blank" booking for yourself) and then add your guests in the usual way.

Please do not add guests by typing their name instead of your name.

Please don't type names in lowercase, use Title Case as you would expect them to be. The reason: they are used in various lists that are distributed. 

Lastly, complete the registration by pressing the "Confirm and Proceed With Payment" button. This will cause an email to be sent.  If you don't receive the email, then your registration hasn't been made.

Then, please send your cheque (payable to RNVR Yacht Club) to Tim Ware, 46 Hurlingham Square, London SW6 3DZ, as soon as possible.
