The main dinner, which to break with traditional will be held on the Sunday night instead of Saturday, will be held in the splendid dining rooms of the Royal Solent Yacht Club, currently going through extensive refurbishment and we look forward to being amongst the first guests to enjoy the new facilities.  For those who don't know, the RSolYC is directly on the sea front and enjoys direct and uninterrupted views cross the Solent towards Lymington.

Berths have been booked at Yarmouth Harbour for the nights of Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th May.

Full details of the programme are set out below.

Rotating Dinner on Sat 5th May

The following from Peter Costalas.  Thank you Peter!

By kind permission of TOT Club member Bernie Steed who will be MC for the proceedings, the good ship Susan Ayu would like to invite all those attending the weekend meet to a TOT Club ceremony onboard Susan Ayu at 1800 on Saturday 5th May (www.royal-naval-tot-club.com) . The Ceremony will take approx 20 minutes and we would like all those participating in the ceremony to be aboard by 1750. Depending on numbers we can either run it onboard Susan Ayu or on the adjacent pontoon (or both).

Having participated in several of these both in Antigua and elsewhere I can assure you it will mean we all get "flying speed" for the evening.

The undisputed master of the art of the rotating dinner is Martin Alexander and he shall be organising the rotation to ensure that diners, boats and food are all scheduled and planned for optimum enjoyment.  Martin will make contact with skippers in April to provide instructions.

Berthing
Yarmouth Harbour has currently reserved 15 of their new walkashore berths.  Yarmouth Harbour is located on the eastern (town) side of the Western Yar river (for clarity, it is not Harold Hayles boatyard, which is on the western side of the river).  It is 1/3 mile walk from the Royal Solent Yacht Club.  More details at www.yarmouth-harbour.co.uk.

Their charges for the two night stay are £29 in total for yachts with LOA up to 10.5m and £33 in total for yachts with LOA of 10.5m to 12m.  This fee includes VAT, electric hook-up and use of on-shore shower facilities.

A £5 administration fee has already been paid on your behalf to Yarmouth Harbour.  This is in addition to the above mooring fees.

Make your berth booking through the RNVR Yacht Club when you register for the event and then make your £5 administration fee payment for the berth to the RNVR Yacht Club along with your costs for the Sunday dinner.

Skippers are reminded that it is their responsibility to settle their £29 or £33 berthing fees directly with the Yarmouth Harbour.

Berths are available from 15:00 on Saturday 5th May and must be vacated by 12:00 on Monday 7th May.  Yarmouth Harbour can be contacted on Channel 68 or 01983 760321. Members who wish to arrive earlier or stay later than this should make their own arrangements with them.

Crews - are you looking for a skipper?
Would you like to participate in this event but don't know who to sail with?  Contact the organiser by phone or email (before you register) and they will broker introductions.

Shore Parties Welcome

Accommodation
Tripadvisor lists two hotels in the centre of Yarmouth: The George Hotel and the Solent House B&B.  There is also the Bugle.
