Berthing
The Lymington Yacht Haven has currently reserved 8 berths for yachts between 30 and 40 feet for Saturday 1 Oct. Their charges are £3.13 per metre including VAT which covers pontoon electricity, water, and good washing and showering facilities at the offices. They wish to know the name of the boat, LOA, skipper and his/her mobile phone no later than 1 September. They require a £10 deposit per boat refundable with advanced notice, (even on the day if weather conditions are bad).

You can make your berthing booking when you register for the event and then make your £10 deposit payment to the RNVR Yacht Club along with your costs for the Saturday dinner.  Members are reminded that it is their responsibility to settle their berthing fees directly with the Lymington Yacht Haven although your £10 deposit paid through us will be deducted from your final bill from LYH.

Berths are normally available from midday of the day booked. The Haven can be contacted on Channel 80 or Tel: 01590 677 071. Members who wish to arrive earlier or stay later than this should make their own arrangements with the Haven.

About Lymington
The town of Lymington and its environs area steeped in history and for those who have never visited, is well worth a visit; it is served by South West Trains and a car ferry from the Isle of Wight.

You may come therefore as the Royal Marines say “Per mare per terram” !

More information on Lymington is available from www.lymington.org and www.lymington.com.
(Their own .com website .... impressive! Ed.)

Shore Parties Welcome
Shore parties are particularly welcome and are encouraged, if travelling a distance to make a week-end of it. The RLymYC web site lists local accommodation.

The Mayflower Hotel is just opposite the RLymYC. Their web site contains some excellent marine images.  Contact them via www.themayflower.uk.com or 01590 672160.  The hotel is, however, not large and early booking is suggested.

The Bosun’s Chair in Station Street in town is a very pleasant pub/hotel with a good dining room, a secluded garden and a car park.  They are on www.bosunschairlymington.co.uk and 01590 675140.
